Stocks tumbles at open on weak jobs data



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks fell more than 1 percent at the open on Friday after a dismal report on the labor market confirmed recent data signaling the economic recovery was weakening.

    The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 141.18 points, or 1.15 percent, to 12,107.37. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index slid 14.87 points, or 1.13 percent, to 1,298.07. The Nasdaq Composite Index was off 31.56 points, or 1.14 percent, to 2,741.75.
