Commodity shares lift Wall Street



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks hit session highs on Monday as gains in commodities lifted energy and materials shares after a selloff last week.

    The Dow Jones industrial average rose 60.70 points, or 0.48 percent, to 12,699.44. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index put on 6.58 points, or 0.49 percent, to 1,346.78. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 17.66 points, or 0.62 percent, to 2,845.22.
