Dow, S&P 500 turn negative



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Dow and S&P 500 turned negative in midday trading on Monday, with the energy sector leading losses on the S&P 500. The Nasdaq was lower as well.

    Oil futures declined, pulling shares of major energy companies down as well.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was down 2.01 points, or 0.02 percent, at 12,808.53. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index dipped 1.58 points, or 0.12 percent, at 1,362.03. The Nasdaq Composite Index slipped 9.27 points, or 0.32 percent, at 2,864.27.
