Wall Street rallies on jobless claims, oil down



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rallied at the open on Thursday as crude oil prices fell and applications for unemployment insurance dropped to their lowest level in more than 2-1/2 years.

    The Dow Jones industrial average gained 125.63 points, or 1.04 percent, to 12,192.43. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 14.61 points, or 1.12 percent, to 1,323.05. The Nasdaq Composite Index jumped 34.44 points, or 1.25 percent, to 2,782.51.
