S&P and Nasdaq gain slightly at open


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq opened slightly higher on Wednesday, boosted by positive corporate news, but a rise in bond yields and the dollar limited gains.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 0.45 point, or 0.00 percent, at 11,359.61. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index added 2.44 points, or 0.20 percent, at 1,226.19. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 6.88 points, or 0.26 percent, at 2,605.37.
