Wall Street ends up after Fed plan
The Nasdaq ended at its highest since June 2008 while the Dow closed at its highest since September 2008. The S&P 500 closed at its best level in six months.
Based on the latest available data, the Dow Jones industrial average rose 26.41 points, or 0.24 percent, to end at 11,215.13. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 4.35 points, or 0.36 percent, at 1,197.92. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 6.75 points, or 0.27 percent, at 2,540.27.
