Wall Street opens down on energy, earnings



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks fell at the open on Wednesday, weighed by underwhelming earnings and as energy shares tracked crude oil futures lower.

    The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 51.16 points, or 0.49 percent, to 10,354.69. The Standard & Poor's 500 dipped 4.67 points, or 0.43 percent, to 1,087.87. The Nasdaq Composite was off 10.57 points, or 0.48 percent, to 2,198.87.
