Dow and S&P 500 each rise 1 percent



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Dow industrials and the Standard & Poor's 500 rose 1 percent on Monday as European industrial data eased concerns about a slowdown in global growth and rising oil prices lifted energy shares.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 99.76 points, or 0.98 percent, at 10,310.83. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 12.21 points, or 1.12 percent, at 1,103.81. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 32.03 points, or 1.43 percent, at 2,275.63.
