Wall Street ends higher on tech boost



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rose on Thursday, led by a late-day surge in technology shares, as investors geared up for a strong Friday unemployment report.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 5.74 points, or 0.06 percent, to end unofficially at 10,255.28. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 4.44 points, or 0.40 percent, to finish unofficially at 1,102.82. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 21.96 points, or 0.96 percent, to close unofficially at 2,303.03.
