Nasdaq up more than 1 percent


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Nasdaq rose more than 1 percent while the S&P 500 added to gains and the Dow turned slightly higher late in the session on Thursday, with information technology shares leading the rise on the S&P.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 5.97 points, or 0.06 percent, at 10,255.51. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 3.87 points, or 0.35 percent, at 1,102.25. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 21.99 points, or 0.96 percent, at 2,303.06 after rising more than 1 percent.
