El presidente Umaru Yar'adua elegido presidente de Nigeria (oficial)


    El gobernador Yar'adua obtuvo 24.638.063 votos. El general Muhammadu Buhari, candidato del partido opositor ANPP, logró 6.605.299 sufragios y el vicepresidente Atiku Abubakar 2.637.848 votos, precisó Iwu al declarar vencedor a Yar'adua.

    ABUJA (Thomson Financial) - Umaru Yar'adua, gobernador del estado de Katsina (norte) y candidato del partido en el poder en Nigeria, fue elegido presidente de este país, anunció este lunes el presidente de la comisión electoral nacional (INEC), Maurice Iwu.

    Unos 61,5 millones de nigerianos estaban convocados el sábado a las urnas.
