Malawi High Court rejects President Banda's decision to annul election


    JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - The Malawi High Court on Saturday issued an injunction stopping President Joyce Banda from interfering with the electoral process, making her earlier decision to annul the national elections invalid.

    The order was granted following an application by lawyers representing the Malawi Electoral Commission and Malawi Law Commission and the Democratic Progressive Party, respectively.
