    Conforms with Interfax correction of its story to show that Putin signed the decree before leaving office, not Medvedev

    MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia will join economic sanctionsagainst Iran, Interfax news agency reported on Thursday,quoting a decree signed by Vladimir Putin before he left officeas president this week.

    It was unclear from the report which sanctions the decreereferred to. A Kremlin spokesman refused immediate comment.
