Wall St. turns negative as defensives slide



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks turned negative on Thursday as a slide in shares of healthcare and consumer staples companies offset gains in financials.

    The Dow Jones industrial average shed 4.22 points, or 0.06 percent, to 7,266.67. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 0.24 percent to 763.03. The Nasdaq Composite Index slipped 10.41 points, or 0.73 percent, to 1,415.02.
