Denmark rejects adoption of EU laws - results with 80 percent vote counted


    COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - With over 80 percent of the vote counted, Denmark rejected proposals to adopt more European Union laws in Thursday's referendum on the 28-member bloc's justice and home affairs rules.

    The "No" vote was ahead with 53.7 percent in a poll that tested for the first time in 15 years whether the nation wanted to integrate further with the EU or continue to keep its distance.
