Blast wounds eight police in Cairo - interior ministry


    CAIRO (Reuters) - A bomb detonated by suspected Islamist militants wounded eight police officers and one civilian in the Cairo neighbourhood of Ain Shams, Egypt's interior ministry said.

    The wounded included a police captain, and a bomb squad was combing the area for other possible explosives, a statement on the interior ministry's Facebook page said.
