Blast in Pakistan's Rawalpindi



    ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - A blast went off in the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi, near the capital Islamabad, on Monday but the cause was not immediately clear, a security official said.

    Residents of both cities heard an explosion.

    "We heard the blast but we're still trying to locate whereit came from," said police official Raza Hussain Shah.

    A military official said the blast had not happened at anyof the main military installations in the city, which is theheadquarters of the Pakistani army.
