Russia and U.S. to sign civilian nuclear pact-source


    MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia and the United States will sign a civilian nuclear cooperation pact on Tuesday, a Russian official said on condition his name was not used.

    "The agreement will be signed on Tuesday in Moscow," theofficial said, adding that Sergei Kiriyenko, chief of Russianstate nuclear corporation Rosatom, and U.S. Ambassador toRussia William Burns would sign the document.

    The deal will allow the former Cold War foes to widencooperation in areas such as a uranium bank and the storage ofnuclear materials and let them work together on advancedreactor programmes.
