Northern Chile shaken by 5.6-magnitude quake
The quake occurred at 4:52 p.m. local time (7:52 p.m.British time) and struck at a depth of about 22 miles (35 km),according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
"No injuries were reported. In the southern district ofIquique, power was partially cut," Chile's National EmergencyOffice said on its Web site.
In November, a 7.7-magnitude quake hit Chile's northernregion, killing two people and injuring more than 100.
