Governor says dozens dead in Afghan blast



    KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (Reuters) - A blast at a picnic spot in Afghanistan's southern province of Kandahar on Sunday has killed at least 60 people, or possibly more, the provincial governor said, blaming it on a suicide bomber.

    "Sixty of the martyrs were brought to hospitals and 20 moredead bodies were taken from the site. We think 80 people werekilled in this suicide attack," Assadullah Khalid toldreporters.
