Major bank shares plummet


    (Reuters) - In pre-market electronic trading on Friday, the following bank shares fell:

    * Bank of America Corp shares fall 9.1 percent to $20.90

    * Citigroup Inc shares fall 9.6 percent to $11.85

    * Goldman Sachs Group Inc shares fall 12 percent to $95.65

    * JPMorgan Chase & Co shares fall 7.8 percent to $34.90

    * Merrill Lynch & Co shares fall 12.3 percent to $15.35

    * Morgan Stanley shares fall 14.1 percent to $15.53

    * Wachovia Corp shares fall 8.7 percent to $5.26

    * Wells Fargo & Co shares fall 7.8 percent to $28.90
