HEXAGON Co., Ltd.: Samurai Descendants in Spain Meet Date Masamune,Together with Kengishu Kamui
HEXAGON Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Taro Nakamura; hereinafter referred to as "HEXAGON"), which operates Sengoku Photo Studio, SAMURAI, and a modern-day samurai group, "Kengishu Kamui", will visit a Spanish town where the descendants of the samurai who went to Europe as members of Keicho Mission are living, bringing the armor of Date Masamune style.
Gist of the event
In 1613 (the 18th year of the Keicho Era), the Keicho Mission to Spain, led by Hasekura Tsunenaga, sent by the feudal lord of Sendai, Date Masamune, stayed in Coria del Río near Seville for a long term. Currently, there is a village called Japón in Coria del Río, where the descendants of samurais who have "Japón" (Japan in Spanish) as their family names. People in Japón village believe that they are samurai descendants and are proud of it.
Invited by Chairman of Hasekura Association and Mayor of Coria del Río, Kamui - The Samurai Sword Artists (led by Tetsuro Shimaguchi) will visit Japón village, taking the armor of Date Masamune style from "Sengoku Photo Studio SAMURAI" with them, to carry out a cultural exchange with samurai descendants on October 13, 2016.

When Mr. Tetsuro Shimaguchi visited Japón village in 2011, people there were delighted with tears to watch his sword performance, saying "they are the real Japanese." or "Samurai worriers are here." It was the time he decided to come back to the place to see these people again.
This is the cultural exchange between samurai and people in Japón village, who have been nurturing Japanese history in Spain, including the Japan Museum and the statue of Hasekura Tsunenaga, for 400 years
