GE Capital Solutions, Global Electronics Services Names Dan Hamling Director, IC Test and Assembly



    GE Capital Solutions, Global Electronics Services (GES), the leading global expert in semiconductor equipment lifecycle management services, today announced that Dan Hamling has joined the company as Director, IC Test and Assembly. Reporting to Paul Edstrom, GES Senior VP and CTO, Mr. Hamling will be leading the worldwide semiconductor test and assembly equipment business for GES.

    "Dan brings to GES a deep understanding of semiconductor test and backend manufacturing technologies and business models, enabling an optimal alignment of our current and future solutions to the market," said CTO Edstrom. "His broad range of skills and credibility within the test industry will allow Dan to have an immediate impact in leading and accelerating the growth and success of our global test business."

    Prior to joining GES, Mr. Hamling was founder and CEO of Chip Nexus, provider of test capacity management software solutions and sponsor of the Test Capacity Advisory Board. Before that, Mr. Hamling spent 12 years in sales and marketing at Teradyne, following eight years in test engineering and test engineering management roles at various semiconductor companies. In addition to his work experience, Mr. Hamling has a broad range of academic experience through a BSEE from the University of Michigan, an MSEE from Stanford University, and an MBA from the University of Texas.
