Jordan Telecom Selects Redback SmartEdge Multi-Service Edge Router to Enable Broadband Internet Services



    Redback Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:RBAK), a leading provider of
    next-generation broadband networking systems, announced today that
    Jordan Telecom, the incumbent carrier in Jordan and a France Telecom
    subsidiary, has selected the Redback's SmartEdge(R) family of
    multi-service edge routers to deliver broadband internet access to
    their business and residential users.

    Jordan Telecom will deploy the Redback's SmartEdge multi-service
    routing platform to provide high-speed Internet access, VoIP and
    future IPTV services.

    network and provide a smooth migration from ATM to Ethernet transport
    and advanced IP services," said Yanal Abzack, Director, IP
