Anti-immigration SVP biggest party in Swiss election - Swiss TV


    ZURICH (Reuters) - The anti-immigration Swiss People's Party (SVP) won the biggest share of the vote in Sunday's national parliamentary elections, initial projections showed, increasing its vote share to remain Switzerland's biggest party.

    The SVP won 28 percent of the vote, according to first projections from Swiss broadcaster SRF, up from 26.6 in the 2011 vote and roughly in line the 27.9 percent predicted in a poll by research institute gfs.bern.

    The pro-business Liberal Party (FDP), Switzerland's third largest party, also made gains. Its support was up 1.3 percentage points, tilting parliament more to the right.
