DOF Selects Telenor Satellite Services for Satellite Communications Modernization; Telenor to Provide Satellite Broadband Communications Onboard More Than 20 Vessels of the DOF Fleet

Telenor Satellite Services, a subsidiary of Telenor of
Norway (Oslo Stock Exchange: TEL and NASDAQ: TELN), announced today
that it has signed an agreement with DOF ASA of Storebo, Norway, to
provide maritime broadband communications on board more than 20
    vessels of the DOF fleet.
DOF ASA is a group of companies which owns and operates a modern
fleet of more than 60 offshore service vessels, and also owns entities
which provide services to the subsea market.
The three-year agreement calls for the installation of Telenor's
cost-efficient and highly reliable Sealink maritime very small
aperture terminal (VSAT) systems to provide voice and high-speed data
services via satellite, including Internet access and crew calling,
for DOF vessels operating in waters throughout the North Sea, Barents
    Sea, and the Middle East.
"DOF takes great pride in operating and maintaining one of the
most modern fleet of vessels in the world," said Arnstein Kloverud,
newbuilding and project manager for DOF Management AS. Operating over
60 ships and with well more than 1,100 crew members on board these
vessels, it is important to our business that we have both advanced
and reliable communications so that we can efficiently conduct ships'
business and help the crew keep in touch with families and friend at
    home."
"With two decades of experience in providing broadband services to
the maritime industry, Telenor has the knowledge and technology that
is bringing the most advanced communications applications to DOF,"
said Morten Tengs, CEO of Telenor Satellite Services. "The Sealink
systems now being installed give DOF the ability to extend its
corporate communications network to each of these vessels."
Sealink is Telenor's suite of digital high-speed communications
solutions that extend corporate networks and make other broadband
communications available on a leased basis to ships at sea. Sealink
provides turnkey managed communications solutions for a wide variety
of maritime industries as well as ocean-going transportation and
supply operations. All communications are delivered through Telenor's
    fully-owned network of Earth Stations.
Telenor is one of the world's largest providers of mobile
broadband services on land and at sea, supporting more than 2,000
land-based VSAT sites and operating on over 500 ships around the
    world.
