Covidien to Host Investor Meeting on September 10, 2008

Covidien Ltd. (NYSE: COV; BSX: COV), a leading global provider of healthcare products, will host an investor meeting on Wednesday September 10, 2008, to update investors on the company and its growth initiatives, strategic priorities and financial outlook. The event will be held at the Pierre Hotel, Fifth Avenue at 61st Street, New York, NY and will begin at 11:00 a.m.

The program will include presentations by Covidien´s President and Chief Executive Officer Richard J. Meelia, as well as several members of the company´s senior management team.
