BGC Group Opens New Office in Copenhagen, Denmark; Rapid Expansion Continues with First Scandinavian Office

BGC, a leading inter-dealer broker, providing integrated
voice and electronic services for wholesale market participants
worldwide, today announced the opening of a new office in Copenhagen,
Denmark, further expanding BGC's global footprint within the financial
    markets.
The new office will be based in Copenhagen's financial district at
Bremerholm 1, and will provide brokerage of short and long end
interest rate derivatives in the following products: interest rate
swaps, forward rate agreements, overnight index swaps, foreign
    exchange forwards, and government bonds.
Kim S0hald and Claus Riekehr, both Managing Directors of the
Scandinavian Derivatives Desk for BGC, will head up the new office
having worked for BGC since January of 2004. They have more than 15
years experience within the financial markets, the majority of which
has been working specifically within Scandinavia.
The opening of a Copenhagen office represents the latest addition
to the rapidly expanding network of global offices at BGC. The company
sees Scandinavia as an important market to further expand its existing
product lines and, where possible, endeavour to serve its clients
locally. With the addition of Copenhagen, BGC now has five offices
across Europe, including London, Paris, Milan and Nyon.
Commenting on the launch, S0hald said, "We are delighted to be
opening a new office in the heart of Scandinavia. This is a key region
for us, and one in which we have many clients. We believe that
offering a local service will benefit both our clients and the
business as we continue to move forward."
Riekehr added: "We remain committed to delivering superior
customer service to our extensive Scandinavian client base. Our local
presence, relationships with customers, and knowledge of the markets
will enhance our offering to existing and new clients and enable us to
continue delivering the service our customers expect."
Jean-Pierre Aubin, President of Continental Europe at BGC said,
"Copenhagen is the first of our new offices since our Paris opening
last year. We want to be close to our clients and look forward to
working with them and seeing strong growth in a wide range of
    products."
The office will be a branch of MIS Brokers Limited, part of the
BGC Group which has almost trebled in size since its launch in 2004,
through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions.
