Netonomy Launches New Communications Catalog Management Product - MyNetonomy Online Catalog Manager

    Netonomy:

Communications Service Providers Can Control Their Entire Catalog
for Online Sales and Service Through the Latest Addition to Netonomy's
    Award-Winning Customer Self-Service Suite, MyNetonomy

Netonomy, the global leader in customer self-service (CSS)
solutions for the communications industry, today announced the launch
of MyNetonomy Online Catalog Manager. This new product enables
communications service providers to manage their entire portfolio of
products and services through an easy-to-use web-based application,
ensuring a consistent catalog across all online sales and service
    channels. Features include:

-- Easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI)

-- Flexible catalog model designed specifically for
    communications products and services

    -- Out-of-the-box (OOTB) integration with MyNetonomy e-Commerce
and self-service account management applications for consumers
    and enterprise customers

-- Multiple catalogs for different customer segments

-- Dedicated and extended catalogs for corporate customers

-- Ability to create new bundles and marketing packages

-- Full audit log for all catalog changes

-- Fast integration with back-end billing and inventory
management systems automating the consolidation of the online
    offer

Marketers can use Online Catalog Manager to add new packages,
products and services to the catalog, edit sales and technical
descriptions, update and extend feature lists, and set and revise
prices online. And account managers can create and publish dedicated
catalogs for valuable business customers, allowing business
administrators and end-user employees to purchase and manage their own
    unique products and services.
All aspects of a selected offer, package, price plan, product or
service can be displayed and easily modified in a GUI environment,
enabling marketers to edit content directly or link to external text,
images and animations. Prices can be set for a specific product or
service across all pricing plans, or varied for different offers,
plans and packages. And catalog rules can be defined and applied to
different products and services - for example, supporting accessories
can be identified for a particular handset, online services can be
associated with particular price plans, and conflicting network
components can be marked as incompatible.
Although formally just launched, Online Catalog Manager has
already been successfully deployed for Telstra, Australia's largest
telecommunications and information services company, and several other
projects are underway with other service providers.
Arindam Banerjee, Senior Telecom Software Strategies Analyst at
the Yankee Group commented, "Communications service providers have
developed extensive and complex catalogs of products and services,
with ownership of these product and service portfolios shared across
multiple back-office systems. Operators need to present simple and
structured product choices to their business and residential
customers, and this complex, distributed catalog model creates a real
barrier to effective marketing. Centralized catalog management
solutions like Netonomy's Online Catalog Manager give control back to
the operators' marketers, ensuring a consistent customer offer and
    increasing sales efficiency"
"Communications service providers have some of the most complex
product catalogs in the world," said John Hughes, EVP and co-founder,
Netonomy. "Mobile operators have multiple contract types, multiple
price plans, multiple services, and a myriad of handsets, devices and
accessories that they are selling, while fixed line and convergent
service providers have to manage customer premises equipment as well
as physical lines and local exchange or central office technology.
Given all this complexity, it is hardly surprising that there has been
no central reference for the customer-facing catalog.
"Online Catalog Manager changes all that," continued Hughes.
"Communication marketers can quickly pull inventory and service
information from the many complex operator systems that house that
data, and easily build bundles and packages, apply discounts and
publish these offerings to the online shop without ever having to
involve IT personnel. MyNetonomy Online Catalog Manager greatly
simplifies the entire process, making the entire organization much
    more responsive and nimble."
