Latest Telemark Report Names BT Infonet Overall ``Best in Class'' in Customer Satisfaction; 15th Consecutive Overall ``Best in Class'' Award for BT Infonet

BT Infonet, a leading provider of managed network
communications services for multinational entities, fully owned by BT
Group, was recently named overall "Best in Class" in customer
satisfaction in Telemark Consulting's latest benchmarking report on
the managed data network services industry(1).
This marks the 15th consecutive report, spanning a period of
almost five years, in which multinational corporations surveyed have
found BT Infonet to be the industry's overall best. In this latest
report, BT was also rated highly, earning "Best in Class" awards in
six individual categories, including Network Availability and
Technical Support. Together, BT and BT Infonet outperformed all other
providers in the report, including Verizon Business, Orange, AT&T, NTT
and Cable & Wireless, by being rated best in 14 of the report's 32
    individual measures of customer service.
Jose A. Collazo, chief executive officer of BT Infonet, said,
"Telemark's reports show that customer requirements have tended to
shift and evolve over the past five years. The fact that BT Infonet
has been named the industry's overall best throughout that time shows
our ability to adapt to changing requirements and deliver the highest
levels of service possible to our customers."
Dr. Kerry Tomlinson, author of the report, added, "BT Infonet's
performance is once again notable, including its `Best in Class' award
for network reliability -- the single most important attribute in the
report as defined by multinationals. BT Infonet's consistent number
one overall ranking in our report is a true measure of its commitment
    to delivering world class service."
