IDway Announces the Mass Deployment of 'IDway-J' Solution in the China Market


    IDway, a leading provider of software solutions for
    Digital TV, announces the mass deployment of the IDway-J middleware
    solution in NanHai, GuangDong province.
    NanHai, a busy satellite city of Guangzhou, in GuangDong province
    with more than 400 000 cable subscribers, is now massively deploying
    Set Top Box with IDway-J middleware.
    NanHai is one of the five pilot cities designated by the Central
    Government to promote the digitalization of the cable market.
    The IDway-J middleware includes the IDway-J for China product, a
    complete turn-key solution for the Chinese cable market.
    The IDway-J product line is a range of portable solutions for
    Digital TV including:

    -- A complete DVB middleware

    -- Support for Conditional Access Systems from various vendors
    (Irdeto, NagraVision, Conax ...)

    -- A set of essential applications (Setup, 7 days EPG, PVR ...)

    -- IDway-J Workbench, a complete application development
    environment.

    -- IDway-J Interactive Engine to store and run interactive
    applications

    The new IDway-J for China component adds the support for various
    Chinese fonts and local Conditional Access System such as Novel Tong
    Fang.
    This innovative platform allows Chinese cable operators to
    generate additional revenues with interactive applications such as
    messaging, virtual advertising, T-governments and games.
    NanHai TV is already working with a local partner to add
    additional interactive applications that will be deployed in the
    coming months.
