Airbus wins 1,001 gross plane orders in Jan-Aug


    PARIS (Reuters) - European planemaker Airbus said on Thursday that it won 1,001 gross plane orders in the first eight months of the year.

    Taking cancellations into account, net orders totaled 722 aircraft through August.

    AIRBUS (EAD.PA)added that it delivered 389 planes in the period, including 17 A380 superjumbo aircraft.
