IP Video Pavilion Expected to Be Hot Spot on GLOBALCOMM Exhibition Floor; Light Reading Sponsored Pavilion Features Industry's Exciting IP Video Trend

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and
telecom industry publication Light Reading announced today that the IP
Video Pavilion at GLOBALCOMM(TM) will feature end-to-end IP Video
solutions, including some of the most exciting applications driving
the industry. The IP Video Pavilion, held as part of GLOBALCOMM(TM) at
McCormick Place in Chicago, is sponsored by Light Reading.
Highlights expected at the IP Video Pavilion include IP set-top
boxes, middleware software, video servers, head-end systems, security
software for digital-rights management and conditional access, and
content. IP Video has been a primary driver of broadband adoption,
including recent video content additions by almost every major
network, music providers and search portals.
"TIA and Light Reading are teaming up to produce one of the
hottest areas on the show floor at GLOBALCOMM 2006," said TIA
President Matt Flanigan. "Quadruple play has become a reality, thanks
to IP Video and as enterprises and end-users continue to adopt this
technology, we can expect to see further technology development and
industry growth. We expect this portion of the show floor to be
    extremely active."
"IP video is now one of the hottest topics covered by Light
Reading, and we are also users of the technology, on our Light Reading
TV network, so we're very happy to be a part of the TIA's Pavilion,"
said Stephen Saunders, President of Light Reading and Senior VP,
    Communications Group, CMP Media.
GLOBALCOMM(TM), the next-generation communications marketplace and
summit, will be held June 4-8, 2006, at Chicago's McCormick Place,
with exhibits open from Monday, June 5 through Wednesday, June 7. For
TIA, GLOBALCOMM(TM) replaces SUPERCOMM(R) as TIA's annual industry
    event.
GLOBALCOMM(TM) 2006 will feature more than 500 exhibitors,
including 105 companies from outside the United States, using more
than 200,000 net square feet of space, including exhibitor meeting
rooms, TIA's Exploration Theatre and Telecom U., as well as 20,000
projected attendees, more than a dozen conferences, and free keynote
    addresses and panels.
GLOBALCOMM(TM) represents the premier business opportunity for the
entire global communications and IT industry. More than 15 percent of
attendees will be international, and the Department of Commerce
International Trade Administration is working with GLOBALCOMM(TM) to
    provide an international buyers program.
