GLOBALCOMM(TM) 2006: The World is Coming; More than 100 countries to be represented at premier business opportunity for entire global communications and IT industry

An analysis of pre-registration data reveals that the
Telecommunications Industry Association's (TIA) GLOBALCOMM(TM) (slated
for Chicago's McCormick Place June 4-8, with exhibits open from
Monday, June 5 through Wednesday, June 7) will be a truly
international event, with representatives from more than 100
    countries, the association reported today.
"Based on a host of pre-registration trends, including country
delegation plans, the international mix of exhibitors, registration
demographics, speaker data, program content and strong interest in
opportunities available through the U.S. Department of Commerce's
International Buyer Program, we think GLOBALCOMM is going to clearly
live up to its name," TIA President Matthew J. Flanigan said. "When it
comes to doing business with the entire buying-selling chain in the
global communications and IT industry, Chicago's McCormick Place and
GLOBALCOMM this June will be a veritable United Nations of global
    communications driving global commerce."
As part of the Commerce Department's International Buyer Program,
GLOBALCOMM(TM) is attracting several official delegations, including
those from American Samoa, India, Montenegro, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia
and Vietnam. International pavilions and/or exhibitors are confirmed

than 197,000 net square feet of space are 105 companies from outside
the United States. The largest contingents of participants from
outside the United States in descending order of size, are coming from
Canada, Israel, India, Japan, England, Brazil, Germany, Taiwan,
    Colombia, Mexico and Argentina.
