Industrial Internet Consortium Reaches over 50 Members Two Months after Launch
The Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) announces it has over 50 members and several key initiatives underway, two months after it was launched.
“We’re very excited about the rapid progress we’ve made since the IIC was founded,” said Dr. Richard Soley, Executive Director of the Industrial Internet Consortium. “Our members are already leaders in their respective industries, and with the projects that are poised to come out of our working groups, they are leading the charge for adoption of the Industrial Internet.”
New Members

Progress on Foundational Work
The IIC Technology, Security and Testbed Working Committees are focused on key initiatives that include use cases, reference architecture framework, and test bed prioritization.
In addition, the IIC has made formal liaisons with the following technical organizations: GS1, OASIS, Object Management Group, Smart Grid Interoperability Panel, and The Open Group, as well as the open-source organization, The Eclipse Foundation.
