Exclusive: NHTSA says 'likely more than 13 deaths' linked to GM switches

DETROIT (Reuters) - The U.S. National Highway Traffic Administration said on Friday there are "likely more than 13 deaths" linked to faulty General Motors ignition switches.

The final death toll from the defective switches "is not known," the agency said.

NHTSA said GM can determine additional switch-related deaths from lawsuits, incident claims and other sources.
