Tropos Launches Troposphere Partner Network Program to Expand Its Reach to Customers Worldwide
Tropos® Networks, the market leader in
wireless IP broadband mesh networks, today announced the new Troposphere
Partner Network Program at the company´s first
annual European channel partner summit being held in conjunction with
the Wireless "˜08 Conference. [Editors

exhibitor, stand number 206.] With the new program, Tropos announced it is focusing worldwide sales
entirely through its Tropos channel partners and bringing them together
with its solution partners under one umbrella program to create a
complete solution for its enterprise customers. The emphasis will be on
the development and marketing of relationships that provide "“ infrastructure, public safety, video security, AMR/AMI and ITS solutions
for municipal and industrial enterprises to enable them to build, own
and operate their own wireless solutions. "Our goal is to expand our channel reach and
add select partners worldwide whose business is focused on selling
best-of-breed wireless broadband products and services to municipal and
industrial enterprises and to create new market opportunities for our

demand from customers both inside and outside of the U.S. for a range of

partner summit here to emphasize our commitment to international markets." In fact, according to the Dell´Oro Group, a
market research firm specializing in networking market trends and
analysis, the quarterly growth in the international outdoor Wi-Fi mesh
market, based on unit shipments is outpacing growth in the U.S.
Specifically, in Q1 ´08 growth
internationally was 9 percent over the previous quarter; during this
same period, EMEA grew by about 21 percent while the North American

Solutions for Customers Worldwide By combining the two previously separate channel "“ value added resellers and distributors, and solution partner programs
under one umbrella, Tropos is making it easier for all its partners to
offer a complete solution to customers -- from the network foundation to
the applications and services which when combined, deliver high value to
municipal and industrial enterprises. For channel partners, the new program is significant because Tropos is
now selling 100 percent through channels. As a result, Tropos is
expanding its recruitment of and programs for distributors, VARs and
system integrators around the world. This expands the market opportunity
for Tropos´ partners to sell Tropos solutions
along with their own value-add services such as consulting
