Hear key announcements from gas producers, gas traders, governments and industry experts as we unite the commercial and political worlds of natural gas.

    Date: 28 - 30 January 2014
    Start time: 09.30am
Venue: Imperial Riding School Renaissance Vienna Hotel - Marriott

    An Unrivalled Speaker Faculty

50+ gas producers, gas traders, government and regulators and industry experts will be speaking across the three days. We’ve interviewed some of the key players ahead of the conference.

Philippe Sauquet, President of Total Gas & Power discussed gas as having a “critical role to our economy.” He touched on future suppliers of gas coming not only from the US, but also the Middle East, Russia and also domestically in Europe.

Sauquet also states the regulation of gas pricing is a key influence on development, and Total’s ambition’s to develop new gas projects require visibility on future gas pricing. He will be discussing the European gas competing on a global scale on day one (29th January) of the European Gas conference; “I realized we need to speak up and defend the gas industry, we are very proud of the industry today and gas as the fuel of choice…if we are not explaining our industry and not defending our industry no one will do it for us.”

We also interviewed Marco Arcelli, VP upstream Gas at ENEL back in November: “In Europe what we are seeing, due to the structure of the Energy Market with more renewable and a lower demand driven by energy efficiency, is a need for greater flexibility and hub indexation Gas is a very critical and key part to the gas economy.”

Arcelli will be discussing whether a mutually acceptable solution on gas pricing structure in broader energy Europe is possible on day two (30th January) of the European Gas Conference.

Celebrating contribution, dedication and excellence of key individuals and projects in the European gas sector.

The Energy Exchange is pleased to announce the official shortlist for the 3rd European Gas Awards of Excellence, which will take place in The Palais Coburg in Vienna on the 29th of January 2014..
