ICAP to hold 21st Annual Global Charity Dayon Tuesday 3 December
ICAP plc (IAP.L), a leading markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services, announces that it will hold its 21st annual global Charity Day on Tuesday 3 December 2013. On this day, 100% of ICAP´s revenues and commissions generated globally will be donated to more than 200 charities worldwide.
Since the first Charity Day in 1993, ICAP has raised more than £100 million for the benefit of approximately 1,400 well-deserving charities worldwide. Last year´s donation of £11 million was equivalent to approximately 4% of ICAP´s full year pre-tax profit. This year 16 charities in the UK will benefit and are listed below.
As part of the day´s activities, ICAP invites the charities´ celebrity patrons to join the Company in more than 60 offices worldwide to speak to ICAP´s customers and help boost trading volumes for the day. This year, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall will attend ICAP Charity Day, supporting Shelterbox and the National Osteoporosis Society. The full list of celebrities attending will be announced on the day. His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge, Darcey Bussell, Boris Johnson, Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep and Mo Farah have been just a few of those who have lent their support to ICAP in previous years.
