New Recruits as Trade Extensions Grows
Sourcing specialist Trade Extensions has announced the appointment of two new consultants who join the company this month. Heloisa Oderich and Kristin Lindgren both join as Strategic Sourcing Consultants with Heloisa based in Sweden and Kristen based in the USA.
Heloisa joins from Volvo where she worked for the last six years as part of the team responsible for Volvo´s Global Purchasing System and Kristin joins from Schneider where she has over 12 years experience including working with BidSmart – the transportation network optimisation platform that is powered by Trade Extensions.
These appointments take the number of Trade Extensions recruits to six in the last year with four new employees joining in the last six months. This rate of recruitment reflects the financial growth and increased demand for its solutions that the company has been experiencing in 2013.

In addition to new appointments, a number of Trade Extensions consultants have been seconded to work full time within customers’ organisations. These tend to be customers who have progressed from using the platform for project based sourcing to using it as either a strategic sourcing platform or a day-to-day operational system. The flexibility of the platform means it can be configured to solve any constraint driven challenge such as asset optimisation or supply chain management so companies are able to improve decision making and modify operations accordingly.
Mansell said, “Sourcing remains our core business but we took a strategic decision eighteen months ago to capitalise on a key differentiator we have which is the flexibility and scaleability of our software. This is reflected in the number of new appointments we have made over the last year and the types of projects we are now working on but, more importantly, it is also transforming our customers’ businesses.”
