´´Dermatological Product Development´´ Workshop to be Held May 29-30, 2008 in Hamburg, Germany



    The Association for Applied Human Pharmacology announced today
    that a 2-day workshop on "Dermatological Product Development" will be
    held in Hamburg on May 29-30.

    This workshop will focus on the unique problems and issues
    confronted during international development of dermatological drugs.

    workshop is exceptional," said Dr. Betsy Hughes-Formella of the

    Day 1 will cover challenges and strategies in topical formulation
    development, preclinical testing and Phase I and II development.
    Selection of endpoint measurements, pediatric requirements and tools
    for measurement of cutaneous PK will be also be discussed.

    Day 2 will be devoted to negotiating regulatory hurdles during
    clinical development.

    Dinner on May 29 will be hosted by Dow Pharmaceuticals Sciences
    www.dowpharmsci.com and bioskin www.bioskin.de.

    Key differences between new chemical entities and existing active
    pharmaceutical ingredients will be stressed throughout the workshop.
    Examples from a wide array of therapeutic indications will be
    presented.
