Sodexo Recognized for Commitment to Sustainable Development in The SAM Group´s ´Sustainability Yearbook 2008´

    Sodexo (PARIS:SW) (OTCBB:SDXAY), a global leader Food and
    Facilities Management services, has gained three-fold recognition in
    Sustainable Asset Management´s (SAM) 2008 "Sustainability Yearbook,"
    which identifies companies that combine economic performance with
    sustainability, among the world´s 2,500 largest corporations.

    Within its industry sector, Sodexo was distinguished as:

    -- SAM Worldwide Supersector Leader 2008, which recognizes a
    company´s economic, environmental and social success factors;

    -- SAM Gold Class 2008, which identifies the best performers
    among the Supersector Leaders;

    -- SAM Sector Mover 2008, for the progress made in sustainable
    development and the strong momentum achieved across the
    sector.

    Only 10 companies in the world received all three distinctions in
    the 2008 report, highlighting both Sodexo´s own performance as well as
    its influence on its industry sector. Sodexo is the only France-based
    company among the 10 global leaders.

    International recognition of Sodexo´s sustainable development
    efforts

    As part of its Ambition 2015, to become "the global outsourcing
    expert in services that improve the quality of life", Sodexo continues
    to develop policies and programs that take account of social and
    environmental criteria. "Act as a corporate citizen" is one of 18
    objectives set out in the company´s roadmap to 2015.

    Sodexo has decided to focus its efforts on three major issues:

    -- environmental protection (reduction of water and energy
    consumption, waste reduction and recycling);

    -- issues related to nutrition and health (expanding Sodexo
    programs promoting balanced diets and the fight against
    obesity);

    -- involvement of the company and its employees in local
    communities, particularly through its STOP Hunger program,
    operating in 23 countries.

    Sodexo also has again been ranked in the 2007-2008 Dow Jones
    Sustainability World Index and Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index
    (DJSI). Sodexo also has been included in the FTSE4Good rankings since
    its inception in 2001, illustrating the continuity of the company´s
    sustainable development commitment.
