Amplats says some operations hit by mine protests


    JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Anglo American Platinum, the world's largest platinum producer, said on Wednesday some of its operations had been hit by labour unrest in South Africa.

    "Our employees have been moved to a neutral place away from the mine. Some operations are not operating," spokeswoman Mpumi Sithole said.
