Introducing the Innovative, Energy Efficient, Full LED 2012 Lineup of GE Side-By-Side Refrigerators

The new 2012 lineup of GE side-by-side refrigerators offers consumers the opportunity to enjoy the latest technology and advanced options for preserving foods yet still save money on their energy bills.

American designed in Louisville, Kentucky, the entire new lineup of side by side refrigerators includes an impressive array of energy saving features. All models are rated "A+" energy which means on average 20% more efficient than lower rated "A" class appliances. Each is T climate rated and is suitable to work in environments with temperatures ranging from 18 to 43 degrees C. All include inverter compressor technology. This variable speed compressor runs continually at different speeds so the refrigerator maintains a stable temperature while saving energy. And because the compressor runs at lower speeds, it is extremely quiet.

The new 2012 side-by-side refrigerators are brightly illuminated on the interior with up to ten LED lights throughout the fresh food and freezer sections so nothing gets lost in the shadows. LED light sources are strategically placed and carefully positioned to provide maximum visibility, front to back and top to bottom, without losing any cabinet space.

GE side by side refrigerators are available in two depths "´ counter depth and American standard depth

GE counter depth side-by-side refrigerators are 61 cm deep with flat doors. Each fits nicely with cabinetry for a custom, built in look. Available with 24 or 25 cubic foot interior capacities, these new refrigerator models use a more environmentally friendly R600 refrigerant. In addition, full length tubular handles offer elegant and easy access to the interior. All models feature an updated, trimless, through-the-door ice and water dispenser with stylish paddle.

GE American standard depth side-by-side refrigerators are 72 cm deep with bowed doors. These side-by-side refrigerators offer the huge capacity typically associated with big American refrigerators. Available in 27, 29 and 30 cubic foot capacity interiors, these models represent a convenient solution to reduce the number of trips to the grocery store and to have more options for healthy meals at home.

Impressive Food Preservation

Through precise digital controls, electronic sensors and a multi-flow air tower, the ClimateKeeper system manages temperatures, with higher humidity in the fresh food compartment, to keep foods garden fresh longer. That means a chance to save money with less food spoilage and waste. Some GE side by side models offer a climate control drawer with CustomCool technology. This helps consumers chill a bottle of wine to the ideal temperature in minutes, thaw a beef roast or whole chicken in hours and help keep foods fresh, longer.

This major 2012 launch of GE side-by-side refrigerators will bring 27 new models to market. Units are available in white, black, clean steel, stainless steel or with trim kit.
