Wauw! Connects Mobiles to the Desktop With myPhoto Widget

24access Solutions, creators of Wauw! the free mobile
entertainment community, today added new features to the service. The
myPhoto Widget now creates a direct link from camera-phone to Facebook
and Yahoo! Widgets, and enables realtime chat on the move. There is no
software client needed on the phone, it is all done via the mobile
    Internet.

"This new feature makes great use of the high-quality
camera-phones and creates a direct link from phone to the desktop for
images and chat." said Marco Menato, CEO of 24access Solutions. "When
a group of friends start using the Wauw! Widget it quickly becomes a
competition to see who can post the best pictures, or the funniest
    comments."

Mobile phones are now sporting high-quality, multi-megapixel
cameras, but the pictures are hard to share. The resulting images are
too big for MMS, and email is too fiddly and slow to capture the
excitement as it happens. Users would like to show pictures of a night
on the town, while they are still out on the town, not when they find
the time to plug their phone into their PC.

Using Wauw! and the myPhoto Widget, users can share the photo fun
with instant gratification. Snap a picture of your Friday night
antics, and you can distribute the image to friends immediately,
without waiting until you sync your phone on Sunday night. Then
friends can comment on the image and chat in realtime using the Widget
    or Facebook app.

Wauw! users can now share their custom Yahoo! Widget, or Facebook
page with friends and family. People can have unlimited friends
subscribed to the myPhoto Widget, and users can have multiple widgets,
one for each friend. When a group of friends connect in this way it
becomes Widget based social network where everybody can see images and
chat in realtime. This works regardless of whether they are at a
    computer, or on mobile phones.

Yahoo! Widgets for Tin Drum here.
