NewStep Networks Teams With Oracle to Offer Advanced Convergence Solutions


    NewStep Networks Inc., a market and technology leader in
    convergence solutions for carriers and enterprises and member of
    Oracle PartnerNetwork, has integrated its seamless real-time
    communications session management capabilities with Oracle(R)
    Communication and Mobility Server, a component of the Oracle Service
    Delivery Platform (SDP) and Oracle Fusion Middleware. Together the
    solutions offer converged voice, video, presence and data
    communications services to customers looking to leverage multiple
    service network capabilities and enhance end user communications
    experiences.

    Extending Oracle Fusion Middleware, the Oracle SDP is a
    comprehensive, standards-based software environment for creating new
    IP-based communications services. NewStep plans to leverage the Oracle
    SDP, starting with the Oracle Communication and Mobility Server, to
    deliver its services within deployment architectures for mobile and
    fixed networks, legacy and IP-based. Collaborating with Oracle
    provides NewStep with the opportunity to include its Converged
    Services Node (CSN) software in environments where the Oracle SDP is
    already deployed or being deployed. CSN 3.5, NewStep´s
    industry-standard convergence solution, integrates with enterprise
    applications and uses advanced presence capabilities to offer a range
    of converged communication services, including:

    Oracle Communication and Mobility Server is a carrier-grade
    application environment for the development, deployment and management
    of multimedia and real-time communications applications. Together with
    Oracle Communication and Mobility Server, NewStep can enhance the
    converged communications experience using an integrated,
    signaling-based centralized presence solution that enables service
    providers to deliver enterprise seamless mobility to customers.
    Additionally, the solutions provide advanced call routing based on a
    specific user´s presence - i.e. is the user at his/her desk - and then
    steering the call to either the soft client or a desk phone, providing
    users with increased flexibility and control over when and where they
    can be reached.

    Service delivery is incorporated into a complete end-to-end set of
    operating and business support systems to quickly realize revenue. The
    Oracle SDP provides the ability to automate end-to-end business
    processes that address the complete services lifecycle from creation,
    deployment, selling, provisioning, management, billing and trouble
    resolution.
