NextWave Wireless to Showcase New Mobile Multimedia Products and Technologies at Mobile World Congress 2008



    NextWave Wireless Inc. (NASDAQ: WAVE), a global provider of mobile

    complete range of innovative products and services at the upcoming
    2008 GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain (February 11-14,
    2008). During the event, NextWave plans to make a number of important
    announcements that will further the company´s leadership in providing
    the products and technologies needed to enable next-generation mobile
    multimedia services for customers around the world. These
    announcements will include news related to mobile TV, LTE, advances in
    NextWave´s WiMAX technology and ecosystem, and mobile media content

    NextWave Products Showcase

    Among the products and technologies that will be demonstrated by
    NextWave Wireless (Stand #AV40) at Mobile World Congress are:

    TDtv(TM) - Designed to operate on existing 3G spectrum, TDtv is a
    high-performance, UMTS-based mobile TV solution that delivers up to 28
    channels of high-quality, live television programming to TDtv-enabled
    WCDMA handsets. TDtv represents a breakthrough in reducing the cost of
    implementing mobile television and provides UMTS operators around the
    world with a powerful multimedia and advertising platform.

    V5(TM) Base Station - Based on NextWave´s widely-deployed TD-CDMA
    base station platform, the V5 is designed to deliver the ultimate in
    performance and flexibility by offering mobile operators the
    industry´s only 3GPP TD-CDMA base station with an evolutionary path to
    WiMAX and LTE.

    ER-7(TM) - Based on the 3GPP Release 7 standard for TD-CDMA, ER-7
    is an advanced mobile broadband platform that incorporates key
    NextWave technologies that can significantly bolster the operator
    business case for mobile broadband. ER-7 includes interference
    cancellation technology that triples cell edge throughput performance
    and doubles overall system capacity, as well as advanced
    quality-of-service capabilities to increase overall revenue potential.

    At the stand, NextWave will also preview the expanding WiMAX
    ecosystem which delivers NextWave´s "no compromise", end-to-end WiMAX
    solution which combines industry-proven wireless innovations and the
    company´s family of advanced WiMAX semiconductors.

    In addition, PacketVideo (PV), a NextWave subsidiary, and the
    industry´s leading independent supplier of device-embedded multimedia
    software, will debut new solutions for the rapid expansion of mobile
    media services (Stand #1C09).

    Panel Sessions

    Two NextWave Wireless executives will be speaking at Mobile World
    Congress:

    -- Bill Jones, CEO of NextWave Network Products, will join Marc
    Fossier, CTO of France Telecom, to deliver the opening
    presentation of the Mobile TV track - "Mobile TV - Technology
    Debate: Delivering Mobile TV Over 3G with MBMS." The session
    will be held on Tuesday, February 12, from 11:40 - 13:00.

    -- Joel Espelien, Chief Business Officer and Vice President of
    Strategy for PV, will participate in a FLO Forum roundtable.
    The session will be held on Tuesday, February 12, from 11:00 -
    13:00 in Media Center Hall 2.
