AeroScout and myTECHNIC Partner to Bring Real-Time Visibility to an Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Facility

AeroScout, Inc., the leading provider of Unified Asset Visibility
solutions, and Tematik, a leading auto-ID vendor in Turkey, announced
today that they have been selected by myTECHNIC to provide a real-time
visibility system for its Greenfield Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul
(MRO) facility. The solution will enable myTECHNIC, a new independent
MRO provider based in Istanbul, Turkey, to implement a system to
wirelessly track the location, movement and status of aircraft parts,
tools and employees within their facility, improving operational
    efficiency and reducing turnaround time.

"myTECHNIC is building a new kind of MRO operation, based from the
ground up on lean operations principles," said Ozer Ergul, Supply
    Chain Director at myTECHNIC. "AeroScout´s Wi-Fi-based real-time
location solution (RTLS) gives us an easy-to-use, powerful tool for
driving the data and events we need for lean operations. Lean
principles have never been applied to a greenfield MRO operation and
this unique approach will allow us to provide faster turnaround times
    and more reliable operations."

myTECHNIC is finalizing construction of a 47,000 square-meter MRO
facility at the Sabiha Gokcen International Airport located on the
Asian side of Istanbul. The facility will service both domestic and
international passenger and cargo airlines as well as airlines from
Europe, the Middle East, CIS and North Africa.

The AeroScout solution uses small Wi-Fi-based Active RFID tags to
wirelessly track the movement of customers´ parts, critical tools and
staff as they circulate throughout the facility. AeroScout MobileView
visibility software provides facility employees a real-time view of
the location and status of those parts. In addition, AeroScout
MobileView can automatically trigger alerts based on movement, dwell
time, exit from an assigned zone, or other criteria. This automates
processes and eliminates wasted labor searching for parts, reduces the
risk of loss or human error, and ensures that operations run smoothly
and on time. The RTLS system uses Cisco wireless access points and
AeroScout Exciters for location and choke-point visibility in the
office and sub-hangar operations areas as well as AeroScout´s Location
Receivers in the main hangar area.

"In the same way that Boeing benefits from our solutions for
aircraft assembly operations in the US, the aircraft MRO industry can
benefit tremendously from the real-time visibility that AeroScout´s
Wi-Fi-based asset tracking solution provides," said Andris Berzins,
Managing Director, EMEA, AeroScout. "This deployment demonstrates all
of the flexibility that our solution provides: RTLS in a huge hangar,
choke-point visibility based on our Exciters, as well as RSSI-based
location determination via our strong integration with the Cisco WLAN
product portfolio. We look forward to helping myTECHNIC provide a
differentiated service to its clients and to being a key part of this
    innovative MRO operations model."
