Agion Technologies Expands Global Regulatory Approval Portfolio with Approvals by US EPA, NSF, and EU EFSA

Agion Technologies, the leader in naturally-safe, silver-based
antimicrobial solutions today announced the company has secured
additional regulatory approvals for specific formulations from
government agencies in the U.S. and Switzerland.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted approval for
the Agion formulation for use in medical devices, equipment, and
supplies. This clears the path for the Agion antimicrobial technology
to be incorporated directly into various materials including plastics,
fibers, coatings, films, and laminates for use in the healthcare
industry. The EPA registration for this market will enable additional
manufacturers to incorporate Agion´s antimicrobial technology into
their end products. Agion, Nature´s Antimicrobial, has recently been
published to the International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary and
Handbook as maintained by the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC),
clearing the way for the expansion of Agion technology for use in
consumer cosmetic, toiletry, and fragrance applications in the United
    States, Europe and Asia.

Agion has also received two additional National Sanitation
Foundation (NSF) Standard 51 certifications for food processing and
food service equipment materials. Agion´s partners hold NSF Standard
42 certifications, and Agion maintains EPA, FDA, (Food & Drug
Administration), and USDA approvals for different formulations for use
in food and water touch applications.

Additionally, Agion has announced that approval has been obtained
for indirect food contact by the European Food Safety Authority
(EFSA). This approval opens the door for further development in Europe
of Agion-protected antimicrobial products for food packaging,
preparation, and storage. Already a well known brand in the food
industry in the United States, Agion continues to expand with
    additional regulatory approvals worldwide.

Agion, a global leader in antimicrobial solutions, continues to
maintain regulatory approvals for different formulations from the EPA,
FDA, EFSA, and NSF and is notified under the European BPD (Biocidal
Products Directive) in addition to various other approvals and
recognition in Europe, Asia, Canada, and Latin America.
