PSE Scales up Korean gPROMS and ModelCare Operations

Process Systems Enterprise (PSE) today announced the establishment
of its PSE Korea subsidiary in Daejeon, Korea. PSE Korea will be
responsible for Korean-language sales and support of PSE´s gPROMS
Advanced Process Modelling (APM) software, as well as execution of
associated ModelCare project services and provision of training
courses, seminars and other events for the company´s growing Korean
    customer base.

gPROMS is the world´s leading APM environment, and is used
throughout the chemical and other process industry sectors for
optimisation of design and operation of process plants and to
accelerate innovation. gPROMS´ advanced model libraries for
high-accuracy predictive modelling of reaction, separation,
crystallisation, polymerisation and fuel cell processes are recognised
    as leaders in their fields.

PSE already has a number of significant customers in Korea,
including LG Chem, Samnam Petrochemical, Samsung Electronics, and SK
    Chemicals.

Prof. Costas Pantelides, Managing Director of PSE, says "Following
our recent success in delivering value to Korean process companies,
this is a natural next step for us, which demonstrates our commitment
to the Korean market. We look forward to the closer relationship that
we will be able to offer our Korean customers, and are very pleased to
    be here."

President of PSE Korea is Dr Sang Phil Han, a senior engineering
manager with many years´ modelling experience, strong knowledge of
Korean industry and a long and close involvement with PSE. Dr Han says
"We believe that Korea, with its extensive process industries and
highly-educated personnel, will very quickly develop into a major
    market for PSE and gPROMS."

Advanced Process Modelling, described as "beyond process
simulation", is the new generation of high-accuracy predictive
mathematical modelling technology available to process industries for
optimising design and operation of process plants and accelerating
    innovation.
